Matthew Olzmann

Matthew Olzmann holds a BA from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and is a graduate of the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers. He currently serves as assistant professor of English and creative writing at Dartmouth College and teaches in the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College.

Olzmann is the author of Constellation Route (2022) as well as two previous collections of poetry: Contradictions in the Design (2016) and Mezzanines (2013), which was selected for the Kundiman Prize. With Ross White, he edited Another & Another: An Anthology from the Grind Daily Writing Series (2012).

A recipient of fellowships from Kundiman, MacDowell, the Kresge Arts Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts, Olzmann has had poems published in the New York Times, Best American Poetry, the Pushcart Prizes, New England Review, Kenyon Review, Southern Review, and Atlanta Review, and elsewhere.
